A Very Happy Christmas from Prideview Properties

At the close of 2014, the team here at Prideview Properties would like to take this moment to wish you a very happy Christmas and every success in the New Year. We’re not entirely sure where the last 12 months have gone to, and we guess that’s because we’ve been so busy! This year has undoubtedly been a very eventful one in terms of the property industry, and we’re already looking forward to tackling whatever 2015 has to throw at us.

Will a matter of one number really make such a difference though? It’s a fair point to raise, but the fact is that many analysts are already forecasting property changes in the New Year. Looking back over 2014, our home turf of London has rarely been out of the headlines, and it’s not too difficult to see why. House prices have soared in the capital, and the commercial property options have largely followed suit, and it speaks volumes when you realise that, statistically speaking, London is now the most expensive city to be based in throughout the entire world (it now even tops Hong Kong).

Of course, 2014 has also been a year of mortgage wars (see our commercial mortgage guide here) and other problematic trends, but it’s worth saying here that the commercial property industry across the country has done very well for itself. Property investment remains a leading financial move to make, and the sheer range of options across the country with regards to commercial property has really begun to expand too. With many analysts forecasting that 2015 could herald a less competitive property environment in London, and also the end of the previously relentless price increases, the next 12 months should be an interesting time to be dealing in property, and, if you need help and advice, be sure to give us a call.
