Autumn Market Review ’18 – Investors Vote for Medical Property

Our annual Investment Seminar was as busy as ever with over 120 private investors assembling in Central London to hear the Prideview team and Acuitus, one of the leading commercial property auction houses, discuss the current market.

As specialists in assisting private investors understand and navigate the commercial property market, it came as no surprise that 41% of the investors present were looking to buy commercial property for the first time.

During the event we engaged the audience with some interactive questions, yielding some interesting results:

In terms of sectors – and alternatives to high street retail in particular, 36% of attendees were most interested in Medical investments, with another 19% preferring Convenience / Neighbourhood Retail.

Regarding risk appetite in the current uncertain climate, 78% of investors want a Blue-Chip investment with a 10+ year lease, but nearly half of those would prefer a higher yield Neighbourhood Parade with a mix of Blue-Chip and independent tenants.
