As the dust settles on another #MIPIM, we’re feeling energised about the conference and future collaboration.

There really is nothing more powerful than connecting in person. The conversations had, over great food, drink and sunny settings, really added to the value of discussion and potential opportunities.

What stood out were the many first-timers at MIPIM embracing the experience and hungry to do business. After a global pandemic and challenging economic times, it’s great to see sentiment returning, and that can only be a good thing!

Yesterday we brought together our core team and many of our external partners for a day of activities, teamwork and plenty of fun too.

A day to reflect on 2023, plan for the year ahead, all while making connections, outside of the office setting.

In addition to our usual deals focus this year, we’re looking forward to expanding on our planning and architecture services with our JV partner, Cordage Group, as well as continuing to grow our Insurance arm with our partner, Bircroft.

The day also included a fascinating session with our HR consultant, Parmilla Minhas about neurodiversity and how to get the best out of everyone’s potential – thank you for sharing your insights.

📢 2023 Deals Summary 📢

Now that we’ve settled into the New Year, we’re taking a look back at our 2023 deals and what we can expect over the next 12 months.

In short, 2023 was a challenging year, both from economic and geopolitical perspectives. Investor confidence was at an all-time low, impacting deals and thereby delaying purchases.

The silver lining? Some sectors did well, namely Retail, which made up 42% of our deals last year.

And some regions did better than others. We saw an increase in deals happening in Greater London, with investors opting for this region over the more poplar South East.

Looking ahead, we anticipate investor confidence to increase. Some financial experts are predicting that interest rates are set to fall in 2024, possibly to 3% by the end of the year.

The Retail sector remains buoyant, while demand for Offices is expected to increase.

However, a General Election could impact investor sentiment later this year and raise some questions about potential tax changes.

Clearly, lot’s in store for ‘24!

We're ending the week on a high, as our very own Nilesh Raj Patel, Principal at the Prideview Group, was highly commended at this year's @landaidcharity Awards.

Nominated for Fundraiser of the Year, Nilesh has been instrumental in ensuring our #PrideviewCricket Cup is not only an enjoyable day, but that it raises a huge amount of funds for charities in the UK and abroad.

The 2023 #PridevewCricket event saw a whopping £35,000 raised, of which £10,000 was donated to LandAid. Off the back of this, Prideview became a Foundation Partner to LandAid, signalling our commitment to get more involved with events in the future, as well as continuing to work with LandAid's other partners to help end youth homeslessness.

Nilesh's commendation wasn't just for the donation, but also for raising awareness about LandAid to new audiences, who haven't previously been associated with the charity.

Of course, our annual cricket event wouldn't be possible without the rest of the Prideview team, all our sponsors and supporters who continue to show up year after year and dig deep to support our chosen charities.

Well done to Nilesh and everyone else who was highly commended and awarded as winners last night. It's a huge privilege to be in a position to support an array of charities making a difference to numerous young lives.

The cat's out the bag..! We're thrilled to announce our new Joint Venture with Cordage Group, bringing you Prideview Cordage, to offer a range of services within planning and architecture in the London area.

With our expertise in property acquisitions and disposals, it made perfect sense to branch into asset management and planning services. The Prideview Group now cover every stage of the property development lifecycle, combining Cordage’s planning expertise with Prideview’s tried and tested transactional abilities.

Prideview Cordage is Cordage Group’s regional office covering London and the M25, headed up by Juan Fernando Galué who brings with him a wealth of experience in architecture and planning.

The business has a pipeline of sites across London which are being planned and developed for sale, owned by several major Housing Associations, Pub and Supermarket chains, meaning Prideview’s private investors can rest assured that a strong supply of off-market investment opportunities is available to them first.
