In spite of Covid uncertainty continuing throughout 2021 we are pleased to report that the Prideview team managed to maintain the strong momentum built up in recent years with a 16% increase in deal volumes.
A few key observations include:
- Whilst the number of deals done remained the virtually the same at 82 (vs 83 in 2020), but the average deal size increased from £1.04m to £1.25m.
- 2021 saw an increased focus on London and the South East (almost 50% of deals) compared to last year when the Midlands were our most popular region.
- Deals done by Private Treaty (buying and selling properties on the market) increased significantly from £10.8m to £30.7m in 2021.
Much of this is part of an ongoing push to target higher value properties and some of our subscribers may have already noticed our strong start to 2022 with three sales over £3m currently being marketed as of February.
